At each SGA TOUR event, players in each division will earn points based on their net finish and a list will be kept for the 2025 season. The top players at season end will earn invitations to compete in the SGA Tour Year-End for the Grand Prize. Listed below is an overview of how the points will be allocated and how many spots will be made available for the championship.
Flights: Once the entry for an SGA TOUR event has closed, SGA staff will divide players in each division into equal-sized flights based on entrants’ handicap index as of the tournament’s entry deadline. The number of flights will be determined by the number of entrants in each division as follows: 5-30 players (1 flight), 31-59 players (2 flights), 60-79 players (3 flights), 80-108 players (4 flights), 109+ players (5 flights).
The Flight of a Player is based on Course Handicap which is calculated from a Handicap Index with Course Par, Slope, and Rating based on the USGA Rules. No age or gender is needed.
Points: Points will be awarded to players in each flight depending on their net finish only. The number of points given will be determined by the number of players in each flight. Several “Points Schedules” have been created and will be applied at each event depending on the number of players in each flight. In 2025 the SGA CUP is formualted with top 8 points in the first half of the Season and then Top 8 on the 2nd Half of the season and the Summer Sizzler are BONUS POINTS. The moral of the season is go play your butt off! TOP 8 go to 9-hole playoffs at GreyStone btw the last Saturday and Year End, Saturday or Sunday. depending on the weather and tee times availability

Breaking Ties: In the event of a tie between individuals in the gross or net score, or between teams in team Best Ball, the winner will be determined by the following USGA procedure:
USGA RECOMMENDED CARD PLAYOFF PROCEDURE
If a play-off of any type is not feasible, matching scorecards are recommended. The method of matching cards should be announced in advance and should also provide what will happen if this procedure does not produce a winner. An acceptable method of matching the cards is to determine the winner on the basis of the best score for the last nine holes. If the tying players have the same score for the last nine, determine the winner on the basis of the last six holes, the last three holes, and finally the 18th hole. If this method is used in a competition with a multiple tee start, it is recommended that the “last nine holes, last six holes, etc.” is considered to be holes 10-18, 13-18, etc.[…]
Point Schedules: Listed below are the Point Schedules, organized by flight size:

5 – 30 players – 1 flight
31 – 59 players – 2 flights
